Land Exploration
Embracing the Essence of Nepal
Our journey begins with an in-depth exploration of Nepal. Admire the many temples of Kathmandu, Bhaktapur and Pokhara. Navigate sacred trekking routes and meet the residents of small villages. And stay at the enchanting Shinta Mani Mustang, with astonishing views of the Himalayas.
Wildlife Adventures
Stay at the Taj Meghauli Serai, an idyllic retreat within Chitwan National Park. Traverse the Rapti River and flourishing jungles with a naturalist guide. The riverbank frequently reveals a composed crocodile or the watchful gaze of a stork, while deer, rhinos and leopards lie just beyond the park’s subtropical flora.
Attend the Saga Dawa Festival in Lhasa
Honouring the life of the Buddha, the Saga Dawa festival is considered one of the most important events to many Tibetans. Monks hold ceremonies, engaging in prayers and processions, while we join pilgrims at the hilltop Ganden Monastery to witness local customs.
Elevated Experiences
Mount Everest looms large over our journey. In Kathmandu, we board a scenic flight for awe-inspiring perspectives of its colossal form. While we also enjoy the rare opportunity to see the sun slowly appear over its lofty peak while staying near Everest Base Camp.
Arrive in the Real Shangri-La
Spend two nights in Shangri-La, within China’s Yunnan province. Named for the mysterious, peaceful Tibetan kingdom presented in James Hilton’s novel, Lost Horizon, we discover a land of sparkling lakes, lush meadows and witness the breathtaking Jade Dragon Snow Mountain from Tiger Leaping Gorge.
Lijiang’s Natural Beauty & Cultural Traditions
Our grand journey concludes among the idyllic scenery of Lijiang. Here we acquaint ourselves with the language and customs of the Naxi people. Explore the Old Town and attend the majestic ‘Impression Lijiang’ cultural show. We enjoy a three-night stay at the elegant retreat, Amandayan.
