A culinary journey amid glorious scenery through Piedmont and the Dolomites, in the north of Italy. We will indulge in the most delicious delicacies as we wander through landscapes punctuated with burgeoning vineyards and dramatic peaks. Enjoy walking off feast after feast of culinary specialties, from rich home-style fare to the finest Michelin-starred cuisine featuring prized white truffles. This journey is reserved for just 18 guests.

In Milan, we begin our journey with a Michelin-starred dinner at Felix Lo Basso Restaurant. From the top floor terrace of the Vittorio Emanuele II Gallery, the Duomo is so close it’s as if it’s for our eyes only. Our local guide shows off their favourite sights from La Scala to Sforza Castle. In the refectory of the convent of Santa Maria delle Grazie, we come face to face with Leonardo da Vinci’s The Last Supper.

We take a walk around the city of Turin, before savouring a dinner that attests to the principles of the Slow Food movement. Join a truffle hunter and their dogs in the town of Roddi on the hunt for white truffles. In Alba, we make a beeline for Ceretto Winery, seeking a glass of the region’s finest barolo to sip among the vines. Then, it’s off to dinner at the Michelin-starred All’Enoteca restaurant.

We survey the views from La Morra’s hilltop position and partake in its architecture, history and winemaking culture. From here, we head for Barolo, whose imposing castle has been converted into the Enoteca Regionale del Barolo, where wines from the region’s winemaking communes are up for tasting. We walk from winery to winery within the Serralunga region, finishing up at Fontanafredda winery, where we lunch at Disguido Osteria del Vino Libero.

Approaching Lake Como, we see snow-capped peaks mirrored in the lake’s waters. Choose to take a boat onto the lake, coming ashore to visit the lush gardens of Villa Balbianello and Villa Melzi. Alternatively, ride the funicular up to Brunate, a quaint village situated more than 700 metres above Como. Following free time in Tremezzo, we head out for dinner and sample local ale at Casa Aquadulza restaurant and brewery.

Set off for higher ground, following the Adda Valley through mountainous twists to the town of Bormio. An exclusive ski-resort in winter, the town is a hiking and nature lover’s paradise during the warmer months. Our private mountain guide then accompanies us along the Stelvio Pass, the world’s highest paved mountain pass. Choose to join a cooking class at a local farmhouse cucina or take the funicular up to Bormio 2000 for an alpine trek.

In the South Tyrol region, we find a swathe of vineyards heavy with early summer grapes. Perhaps sample a drop of the local wine while lunching at a local restaurant. The beautiful, garden-lined high promenade known as Passeggiata Tappeiner is the perfect place to get a view of the turreted medieval skyline. In the Tyrolean town of Bolzano, we make our acquaintance with Otzi the Iceman, a 5,300-year-old frozen corpse.

In the resort town of Cortina d’Ampezzo, we meet with a local who takes us for lunch at their favourite restaurant. The Dolomites then introduces us to one of its most famous mountaintops, Cinque Torri, or the Five Towers, where Italian soldiers fought to keep Austro-Hungarian troops at bay during World War I. Our local guide and historian takes us on a walk along the old trails and trenches from this dramatic amphitheatre of war.
