Itinerary

Arriving in Palma de Mallorca, we make ourselves comfortable within the Hotel Es Princep. A discovery of the city beckons, and we admire rows of aristocratic townhouses populating narrow streets, before calling in on some of the many thriving local markets. In honour of our journey, we come together for welcome cocktails at our hotel, before enjoying dinner in the renowned Bala Roja restaurant.

Enticed to explore further, we visit the Cathedral of Santa Maria of Palma, as well as the contemporary art gallery, Es Baluard. Savour fine Spanish fare at the Misa Braseria, before embarking our luxurious ship, EUROPA 2.

Stepping ashore in Ibiza, we soak up the history of its Old Town, enjoying views across the water to Formentera. Rejoining our ship, we cruise the Balearic Sea, bound for Corsica. Revel in some rejuvenation, courtesy of our ship’s steambath, or simply relax by the pool. With Calvi’s beaches as a backdrop, we gaze upon the citadel, before a short walk to Chapelle de Notre Dame de la Serra provides views of the harbour and the surrounding area.

Having cruised to Corsica’s southern coast, our feet touch dry land in Bonifacio. Here, rows of houses can be seen perched on the edge of a cliff face. Sicily’s capital, Palermo, lures us in with its beaches and we trace the city’s outline with a walk along its promenade. We contemplate the Teatro Massimo and Palermo Cathedral as the sun begins casting a glow over the sea. Reboarding our ship, we set sail for the island of Lipari.

The largest of the Aeolian Islands, Lipari hails our arrival to its shores. Here, our day is spent strolling along the waterfront and sampling the products of nearby vineyards. At the far eastern point of Sicily, we arrive in Messina, where we, respectfully, admire the volcanic Mt Etna. The historic Norman Messina Cathedral then captures our attention, as do the mythologically themed marble fountains nearby.

Our passage through the Strait of Otranto guides us into the waters of the Adriatic, and delivers us to the coast of Montenegro. Here, we make out the old city walls of Kotor, snaking their way across the hillside. The Adriatic coast leads us to Dubrovnik. Choose to join a guided evening walk, with the city’s glowing lights providing an enchanting aura. Afterwards, enjoy cocktails and dinner within a private residence overlooking the Old Town.

Cruising the length of Croatia’s coastline, we reach Rovinj; the steeple of St Euphemia dominating the skyline. Wander charming cobblestone alleyways and admire Venetian architecture in the Old Town. Crossing the Adriatic, we soon enter the Venetian Lagoon. Enjoy an exploration of the city of canals, before spending time on your own schedule. On the island of San Clemente, savour farewell drinks and dinner at the Hotel San Clemente Kempinski.
