Noumea
Today we can choose from two Your World experiences. We can spend the morning savouring French cuisine in a cooking class with a host chef before enjoying the fruits of our labour. The afternoon is then yours free to relax at the hotel perhaps opting for a massage or discovering more of Noumea. Alternatively, a stunning short flight over Noumea’s lagoon will bring us to the glorious Isle of Pines for a day of adventure. We explore the idyllic beaches lining Kuto and Kamumera bays, and visit Queen Hortense’s Cave and Our Lady of The Assumption Church in Vao, before a seaside lunch. Our Isle of Pines afternoon gives us time to swim in the pristine waters, snorkel on the reefs, or enjoy a gentle stroll before the flight back to the capital. This evening, the choice is yours to dine at a hotel within the resort or renowned local restaurants nearby.
Nuku’alofa (Tonga)
Today a new adventure awaits. We bid adieu to New Caledonia and board our private jet touching down in Nadi, Fiji for a fuel stop before arriving at our destination - Nuku’alofa, the capital of Tonga. In this culturally immersive experience, we tour a traditional Tongan thatched roof house, and learn ancient practices of food preparation, medicinal remedies, and the art of Ngatu making and weaving. Upon touchdown, we settle into our ocean view room at Taumeasina Island Resort before enjoying dinner at the resort’s restaurant.
Apia
Today we have the choice of three Your World experiences. The first is a morning Apia tour taking in the historic tombs of the Mulinu’u peninsula, the markets and the Mailelani organic coconut oil factory. We admire the intricate design details of the Samoa Catholic Cathedral before visiting writer Robert Louis Stevenson’s former home, now a museum set in magnificent gardens. Alternatively, choose the full day natural water beauty spots of Upolu tour. Be spellbound by the Falefa Falls before swimming and snorkelling at the white-sanded Lalomanu Beach. Travel along the coast of Upolu to the awe-inspiring To Sua Ocean Trench, a natural deep swimming hole surrounded by lush tropical foliage. Enjoy lunch, then choose to dive in or just enjoy the spectacle. Our final stop is to view the grandeur of the Papapapaitai Falls. Or choose the full day traditional Samoan life experience. We head to Poutasi Village where we are invited to experience Samoan customs. As part of the tour, the Matai or chief of the village will formally welcome us with a kava ceremony. We witness incredible fire knife dancing, learn how to prepare traditional tapa cloth, and view a cooking demonstration in an earth oven of hot volcanic rocks, followed by a sampling of umu-cooked delights. The tour ends with a warm singing and dancing farewell in the ceremonial fale.
Port Vila (Vanuatu)
This morning we board our private jet, make a fuel stop in Nadi, then touch down in Port Vila, the harbourside capital of Vanuatu on the island of Efate. Today we have a choice of Your World experiences to entice us. On the morning Port Vila tour, we find out how the French and British influenced the island’s culture and visit key landmarks including Parliament House, the British and French jailhouses, and the Cultural Centre before browsing the Port Vila market. A free afternoon then presents the chance to experience Vanuatu at your own pace, whether through exploration and adventure or rest and relaxation. Alternatively, aquatic adventures beckon with the full day culture and snorkelling tour beginning with an enriching visit to Pepeyo Cultural Village before venturing to Castaway Island. White sandy beaches and turquoise crystal-clear waters provide the setting for some magnificent snorkelling opportunities. Between underwater explorations, a private beach chef-prepared barbecue will be served. Or opt for the full day Turtle Sanctuary and snorkelling tour where we meet baby Hawksbill turtles and learn about their conservation on Tranquility Island before enjoying a tropical nature walk and spectacular snorkelling at Jade Beach. Come sunset, the group reconvenes for a final Farewell Dinner at our resort, savouring the company of our new-found friends.
