Boarding our privately chartered, business class jet at Sydney airport, we settle in for our journey to the heart of Australia. On arrival at Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park, our indigenous guide explains the stories and significance behind the art within the Maruku Cave area. All proceeds from our lunch today help to support the local Anangu community. Rejoining our private jet, we soar to the western extreme of the country, disembarking in Exmouth and making ourselves comfortable at Mantarays Ningaloo Resort.
Exmouth
This morning, we join our 60-foot catamaran and sail to Ningaloo Reef, where just a few metres separates the shore from a spectacular underwater world of tropical fish and coral. Get up close to the whale sharks that frequent the area; only a very small number of people ever have the chance to swim with the ocean’s biggest fish. You may prefer to snorkel the reef or venture out on stand-up paddle boards or kayaks. Alternatively, set off on an all-day safari, discovering the icons of Cape Range National Park, including Shot Hole Canyon, Charles Knife Gorge and Osprey Bay.
Busselton, Margaret River
Flying due south, we make for Busselton. Here, we board its famous solar-powered train and traverse the length of the world’s most extensive wooden pier. We’re then guided through the local underwater observatory, encountering hundreds of marine species. The promise of award-winning wine then calls us to Margaret River; a rendezvous with Aravina Estate’s winemaker proving the perfect set up for tomorrow’s full-day discovery of this celebrated epicurean playground. This evening, we dine and rest at Cape Lodge, a luxurious retreat tucked away in lush grounds.
Margaret River
A selection of Your World experiences today provides a glimpse into one of three distinct parts of this renowned gourmet region. Choose to go behind the scenes at Cape Mentelle Winery, savouring a wine tasting and food pairing in the barrel room of the renowned producer. You may prefer to travel down Caves Road to where the Margaret River meets the Indian Ocean, stopping for lunch at the famous Arimia Estate. Alternatively, head north and take in the lighthouse precinct, overlooking the Indian Ocean. This evening, we settle in for dinner at the celebrated Leeuwin Estate.
Port Lincoln
We rejoin our private jet for our flight across the Nullabor Plain to Port Lincoln, jewel of the Eyre Peninsula. After a cruise of the harbour, we satisfy our thirst at a local brewery. A relaxing walk this afternoon sees us taking in the sights of Australia’s seafood capital. Retreating to the Line & Label Restaurant, we savour a selection of the peninsula’s freshest produce while looking out over the glorious vineyard of Peter Teakle Wines.
Port Lincoln, Coffin Bay
Drink in the view while working your through the wine list at Boston Bay Wines. Put yourself in the talented hands of the resident chef as he serves up his signature dish, among other regionally inspired specials. At Coffin Bay Oyster Farm, enjoy a glass of champagne while sampling oysters picked and shucked fresh from the sea. Back in Port Lincoln, recount your favourite memories from our journey with new-found friends at a Farewell Dinner at our hotel.
Sydney
Reflect upon our remarkable time in four of Australia’s most stunning and diverse regions as the final leg of our private jet journey returns us safely to Sydney.
