A REFINED RAIL JOURNEY WITH BELMOND
Our two-night privately chartered rail journey takes place aboard the brand-new Belmond Britannic Explorer. Departing London, we explore England’s Lake District on our way to Edinburgh. The train’s innovative design is suggestive of an elegant English manor, while the menu is curated by the renowned English chef, Simon Rogan.
REMOTE REGIONS ACCESSED WITH EASE
Explore the remote British Isles and Faroe Islands aboard Silversea's expedition ship, Silver Wind. Our all-encompassing cruise also sees us joined by an expert Expedition Team during adventures by Zodiac, kayak, and on hikes across far-flung islands.

While traversing picturesque terrain across the north of England, the Britannic Explorer navigates a section of the famed Settle-Carlisle line. Regarded as the country’s most scenic rail line, it also sees us negotiating a crossing of the grand Ribblehead Viaduct.

Our comprehensive expedition cruise grants us encounters across the region’s most enchanting islands. Discover the dual World Heritage-listed archipelago of St Kilda. Marvel at the hexagonal basalt columns across the Shiant Islands. Cruise alongside the staggering sea cliffs of Vestmanna. And select from a range activities, including walks, kayaking and Zodiac cruises.
EXCLUSIVE GALA DINNER AT EDINBURGH CASTLE
Edinburgh Castle towers over the city and speaks to centuries of Scottish history. We dine in the splendid surroundings of the Queen Anne Room, at the very top of the castle. To cap off our evening, we enjoy a private viewing of the Scottish Crown Jewels.

Our journey begins in style at London’s second-oldest hotel, Flemings Mayfair. Occupying a position along the famed Half Moon Street, this historic property is said to be the inspiration for Agatha Christie’s Bertram’s Hotel. We stay in Junior Suites and dine at the hotel’s Michelin-starred restaurant, Ormer Mayfair.

THE CALEDONIAN EDINBURGH
The Caledonian is a city landmark, built on historic Princes Street in 1903 by the Caledonian Railway Company, at a time when railways were expanding rapidly. For more than 120 years, it has provided fine accommodation for travellers, including royalty and celebrities, all of whom have enjoyed its famous views over Edinburgh.

Our accommodation aboard Silver Wind is spacious and luxurious. A large picture window offers the finest of views, and the separate sitting area provides room to relax. The queen-sized bed is supremely comfortable, and the marble en suite bathroom is a testament to good taste.

We conclude our journey in Dublin, enjoying the hospitality of The Westbury. Our Westbury King rooms are inviting, with their plush furnishings and muted colours. Enjoy a drink at The Sidecar after the day’s touring, or afternoon tea in The Gallery.
