Nature’s Rare Spectacle & Flood Relief
Make the most of this rare opportunity to survey Australia’s largest salt lake in flood. A marvel of nature, the normally dry salt pan experiences a small flood around every three years, with a larger one taking place each decade. Current conditions have led to predictions this will be the largest volume of water the lake has seen in the previous 15 years. Present flooding should result in the vast desert landscape being transformed into a lush and vibrant ecosystem, a habitat for many diverse waterbird species. Only from above, can we appreciate the enormous scale and regenerative power of nature.
Captain’s Choice will make a $50 donation on behalf of each guest to Rural Aid’s Queensland Flood Appeal. Each contribution will also be matched by our charitable fund, OneTomorrow.
