Welcome to Lucerne, the charming Swiss city overlooking the lake which shares its name. In the Old Town, wooden bridges reach across the water, while the city’s promenade provides still more idyllic views. We transfer to our elegant hotel, the Mandarin Oriental Palace, where you may choose to unwind this afternoon. Otherwise, wander Lucerne’s historic streets during a day at leisure. Meet your fellow travellers this evening during a Welcome Dinner.

Our local hosts join us this morning and brief us on the finer points of our modern supercars. Bypassing the motorway, we instead take a more scenic route, rounding the lake and getting a glimpse of several small towns en route to Brunnen. Here, we enjoy the hospitality of the Seehotel Waldstätterhof. Set upon the shores of Lake Lucerne, we dine in this delightful setting, indulged by our attentive hosts. After lunch, we resume our journey, our high-performance vehicles expertly handling the turns of Switzerland’s alpine roads. On arrival in Andermatt, we are welcomed by our luxurious residence, The Chedi, its chalet-style facade belying the opulence within. We make ourselves comfortable within Deluxe Suites and await the further adventures to come.

Your World experiences are the order of the day, with contrasting alpine aspects on show:

— Play a round at the nearby Andermatt Golf Course. Set before a stunning mountain backdrop, the championship course offers an ideal blend of diverse, challenging holes and spectacular scenery.

— Set out on a scenic hike of Andermatt’s snow-covered slopes or join one of the many mountain-biking trails, offering expansive views across the Alps.

— Board the Matterhorn Gotthard Bahn for a breathtaking rail journey across the Swiss Alps. Reach the soaring Oberalp Pass, which connects Andermatt to the idyllic village of Disentis.

— You may prefer to head out on another scenic drive, taking a route mapped out by our local experts.

On your return, choose where you would like to dine from Andermatt’s nearby restaurants.

This morning, our supercars leave The Chedi in formation to begin our approach to Italy. Crossing the Gotthard Pass, our vehicles demonstrate their prowess, as they skilfully negotiate a succession of hairpin turns to conquer the mountain in style. We pause momentarily for lunch at the renowned Locanda Orico Restaurant. A combination of Italian and French flavours sees us nourished and contented before we return to our vehicles for our final driving leg of the day. Soon we are crossing Lake Lugano and the Italian border. Arriving on the shores of Lake Como, we park our trusty supercars and conclude our journey.

Your private transfer transports you from Milan to Tremezzo, on the shores of Lake Como. We stay overnight at the Grand Hotel Tremezzo. The day is free for you to relax and discover the lakeside charm of our luxurious residence. Our Welcome Dinner is a four-course affair with matched wines on the elegant terrace of our hotel. Meet your local hosts during dinner – rally car champion, Lorenzo Granai, and professional racetrack driver, Fabio Mancini.

Spend the day cruising Lake Como, while admiring the towns of Tremezzo, Varenna and Cernobbio, as well as Comacina Island. Stop in at Villa Carlotta and see how art and nature are combined in an exquisite setting. The nearby Villa Balbianello was built as a retreat by Cardinal Durini at the end of the 18th century. From the gorgeous yellow edifice of this luxurious dwelling, follow tree-lined pathways on a winding descent through immaculate lawns, past majestic topiary, to the shimmering waters of the lake. You may prefer to explore the region independently. Afterwards, we return to the Grand Hotel Tremezzo for the evening.

Approximately 300 kms and 5 hours driving

We fuel up for the day ahead with breakfast at our hotel. We are then met by our local hosts and convoy of high-performance vehicles. Our expert supercar driver then takes us through the finer points of the controls of each vehicle, explaining the differences of each model. Taking our place behind the wheel, we head out along the road, before branching off onto the Stelvio Pass Road. The road runs through the regions of Lombardy, Trentino-Alo Adige, and Veneto, and includes one of the world’s most spectacular mountain passes. Along the way, we negotiate a succession of dramatic hairpin turns. For those not driving, panoramas of forested hillsides at this elevation prove mesmerising. Having reached an altitude of 2,800 metres, we pull our vehicles into the car park of the Tibet Hut restaurant and bar for an appetising pit stop. Sweeping views of the Dolomites are available with lunch here.

Soon, the inviting shores of Lake Garda signal the end of our first driving leg. Our residence here is the Grand Hotel Fasano. Immaculately presented, our Deluxe Lake View rooms hint at the pampering still to come on our journey.

On our first rest day, our vehicles will be cleaned and refueled, giving us the opportunity to head out for some sightseeing.

Select your preferred Your World experience:

— Embark a boat for a cruise across the southern portion of Lake Garda. Arrive at Sirmione and admire the exquisite lake-bound Scaliger Castle. At the furthest point of Sirmione’s peninsula, you will then reach the Grottoes of Catullus. The ruins of this archaeological park lay waiting to be discovered amid flourishing vegetation and its surrounding waters. Not far from here, the mineral-rich waters of one of Sirmione’s thermal springs soothe any aching muscles you may have. Lunch is served at the Michelin-starred restaurant, Speranzina. Here, time-honoured delicacies are discovered anew, thanks to the chef’s innovative approach.

— Climb aboard a helicopter for sublime aerial views of the region’s verdant valleys, punctuated by its idyllic lakes. Soar over the serene hamlet of Mendola-Mendel, admiring nearby Lake Caldaro, before passing over Lake Santa Giustina and the gleaming waters of Lake Molveno. Reaching the town of Limone sul Garda, your helicopter then circles back, allowing for views of Riva del Garda and the turquoise waters Lake Carezza.

— You may prefer Alpine aspects. If so, an alternate helicopter will be available. Enjoy an uncommon overview of the Dolomites, beginning as you hover over the Sciliar massif. Reaching higher still are the neighbouring Catinaccio mountains. The rugged peaks of Sasso Piatto stand out against a comparatively flat landscape populated by the occasional mountain hut. Soar over the town of Cortina d’Ampezzo and the colossal spires of Monte Cristallo. Further on, the Three Peaks of Lavaredo stand proud. Changing direction, you will pass over the crystal-clear waters of Lake Braies en route to the triumphant peaks of the Odle group and the Alpe di Siusi.

Should you prefer a more relaxed day, you’re also welcome to remain at our hotel, or explore the surroundings independently.

Discover the treasures of the local dining scene this evening at your choice of venue.

Approximately 311 kms and 4 hours driving

Following breakfast, we rejoin our convoy of supercars and make tracks for Tuscany. Along the way, we pass through the region of Emilia-Romagna, birthplace of Ferrari and Lamborghini. We stop at their respective headquarters, in Maranello and Sant’Agata Bolognese, absorbing the proud history of these titans of the automotive world. Afterwards, a light lunch at a local trattoria sustains us for the next leg of our southbound drive. Following the A1 motorway brings us to Tuscany, and we shortly arrive at our magnificent resort, Castel Monastero, in the heart of the Chianti wine region. Relax this evening and enjoy the Tuscan flavours of La Cantina restaurant, within our resort’s medieval wine cellars.

Explore Tuscany your way today, with a choice of three Your World experiences:

— Take part in an authentic Italian cooking class at the nearby Le Pietre Vive restaurant.

— Drive through the bucolic countryside to arrive at Antinori Cellars. Sample the flavours of the renowned Chianti region, then adjourn to the Michelin-starred Osteria di Passignano for lunch.

— Rise high over the region’s idyllic hills and valleys aboard a hot air balloon.

Enjoy a relaxing afternoon at leisure within the picturesque surrounds of our resort. Tonight, sample the regional flavours of the Contrada restaurant.

Approximately 250 kms and 4 hours driving

This morning’s drive takes us across the hills and valleys of Val d’Orcia. The open road sees us winding our way between vast fields dedicated to vineyards and olive groves, while cypress trees populate hillsides. Along the way, the small town of Pienza welcomes us to stop and admire its Renaissance architecture. We soon avail ourselves of the offerings of another trattoria, before continuing our approach to Rome. Our accommodation this evening is the Hotel Splendide Royal.

Today has been set aside for you to explore the historic city of Rome in whichever way you please. Perhaps cross the river to explore the neighbourhood of Trastevere. Wander laneways past pastel-coloured apartments, whose terrace gardens beautify their immediate surrounds. You may also like to take in the iconic sights of Rome, such as the colossal dome of St Peter’s Basilica, the Pantheon, the Colosseum, and Trevi Fountain. This evening, we reconvene for dinner at Terrazza Caffarelli, admiring views across the city’s rooftops.

Approximately 336 kms and 4 hours driving

We farewell Rome in style, completing a circuit that takes our cars past some of the city’s most revered landmarks. Before making our journey to the Amalfi Coast, we first head inland to the town of Avezzano. Set against the Apennine Mountains, within Italy’s Abruzzo region, the town was rebuilt following a devastating earthquake in 1915. The area is also known for its hiking opportunities, owing to its abundant natural beauty.

Our afternoon is spent driving south as we make our gradual approach to the beautiful Amalfi Coast. Greeted by the blue waters of the Tyrrhenian Sea, we guide our vehicles around the curves of the scenic coastal road. Just as we think we’ve witnessed the pinnacle of this dramatic circuit, the winding road grants yet more outlooks across to sheer cliffs and terraces stacked with houses. As we pull up to the Grand Hotel Furore, we find that some of the finest views have been saved until last.

Begin the day enjoying a relaxing morning over breakfast at our hotel. Choose to take the day on your terms, exploring this stunning location, from the pastel-coloured houses lining the waterfront to the spectacular arched bridge accompanying a secluded beach at Fiordo di Furore. Alternatively, embark upon a private boat tour around the island of Capri. Enjoy a wine tasting on board, then enter one of Capri’s exquisite grottoes. As you proceed inside the cave, its waters change in appearance to an alluring azure in response to the sunlight’s influence on the seabed. Disembark your boat and stop for lunch at one of the island’s many waterfront restaurants. Tonight, our magnificent Farewell Dinner takes place at Monastero di Santa Rosa, whose Michelin-starred restaurant offers an inventive interpretation on the cuisine of the Campania region.

Enjoy a final breakfast at our sublime cliffside hotel. We are then transferred to Naples airport, where our enchanting journey concludes.
