While accommodation is always of great importance, the selection of each destination on a Private Jet itinerary also requires careful consideration. Particularly in India, where attempting to see all the key highlights within a limited time frame can sometimes prove challenging. 

“Having travelled  through India on multiple occasions, I know how important the location of each hotel can be. Finding the right accommodation can help to reduce the amount of time spent in congested traffic, while also leaving us with time to enjoy the hotel’s facilities. The properties we have selected on this itinerary are close to each vibrant city, yet each one offers a sense of peace and seclusion.”

“Leela Palace in Chennai and Taj Malabar Resort & Spa in Kochi both have wonderful gardens overlooking the sea.

“My personal favourite is the Taj Lake Palace in Udaipur. This iconic hotel and historic grand palace is located on its own island. It’s very rare that you can stay in a former summer palace of the Royal Dynasty of Mewar, that has also been featured in a James Bond movie. It’s located on its own island in the middle of Lake Pichola, yet is only 1km from the city.

Oberoi Rajvilas, Jaipur

“The Oberoi Rajvilas is consistently rated as one of the best hotels in India. It’s located on a 40-acre property with manicured gardens and is just 10kms from central Jaipur. Close enough to enjoy the city, but far enough away to avoid any noisy traffic."

Accommodation aside, you’ll also be spoilt for choice with the many Your World Experiences available during your journey. Michael considers the rickshaw ride through the streets of Jaipur one not to miss.

“This is a must do at any time of the year, but as we will be there during Diwali, the streets will be even more vibrant and alive than usual.”
